Plastic bags in the ocean are decimating marine life.
Wings of Waste
Julie’s beautiful song On Wings of Waste relates to the story of Australian Jeremy Rowsell who has found a way to recycle these destructive plastic bags, transforming them into aviation fuel that will be used to power a specially designed Cessna aeroplane that will then fly from Sydney to London hopefully in 2016.

Paris - the empty shoes

I was so touched by this picture from Paris.

Yesterday I was on the London march.  Great to hear Jeremy Corbyn speaking to all of us, and to take part in such an important march.

Let’s hope the Paris talks are successful.

With Nathalie Hayes
I recently went to see Steve Harley at The Indigo in London. Fabulous show!
Here I am backstage with Nathalie Hayes. Nathalie is the daughter of Mickie Most and is my music publisher at RAK.

Julie writes: “I’ve just written to my MP – will you too?”

A decision will soon be made whether the UK will bomb in Syria.

Whilst it is clear that the brutality of ISIL and the Assad regime must be stopped, David Cameron lacks a comprehensive strategic plan that will bring about a much needed peaceful solution and make life better for the Syrian people and increase security for the UK.

Please lobby your MP here and urge them to vote against bombing Syria.

Julie with Liam Genocky
Saw my old friend Liam Genocky last week when he was playing with Steeleye Span. Liam was my drummer in the 70s. Maybe we’ll play together again one of these days.
