Celebrating at "Dusty Day" commemorating Dusty Springfield's 50 years since she cut her first record and catching up with my good friend Madeline Bell as we sang "Going Back" together. The day raised over £3,500, all of which goes to the Royal Marsden Hospital Charity.

Tony Benn's Passing
From Julie's Facebook page, 14th March
I am so sad to hear of the passing of Tony Benn. He was a true hero of mine. On several occasions I stood on the steps of Trafalgar Square with my guitar as he addressed a peace rally with his inspiring words, and I marched proudly beside him on many a peace march. He was a real gentleman, but was fearless when opposing those who misused their power and who took us into illegal wars. He was an eloquent and passionate speaker. He brought style and validity to so many protest demonstrations. He was a powerful ally to all of us who oppose injustice. Unlike so many of his generation, he was a feminist and campaigned for women's rights. If he had been Prime Minister, the world would be in much better shape than it is today. I miss him already, and will always think of him with deep affection.
On 28th March Julie added:
Yesterday morning saying farewell to Tony Benn. He will be so deeply missed by those of us who believe a peaceful world is possible.
New album out now!
Julie has been in the studio putting together a collection of Goddess Songs taken from six of her previously recorded albums. Kathy Jones, who organises the Goddess Conference in Glastonbury, has been urging Julie to do this for some time.
Julie is thrilled that Freddie Miller has agreed to the use of two of her beautiful images for both the front and back cover of the album. It is called La Que Sabe (She Who Knows).
The album is now also available from the shop on this site.
