Dusty Day 2017Dusty Springfield was, arguably, Britain’s greatest ever pop singer. She excelled in any genre: Soul, Latin, Folk, Jazz; it seems there was nothing she couldn’t sing. Although Dusty died on March 2, 1999, her musical influence lives on, and each year her fans meet to celebrate her life and her music.

Dusty Day 2017 will take place on Sunday April 23rd from 13:00-19:00, at West 5, Pope’s Lane, Ealing, London W5 4NB

Julie at the Tate Hockney exhibitionLast Sunday I saw the beautiful Hockney exhibition at the Tate Gallery.  I used a Hockney image on my Lightning album back in the 70s.

Spring Theatre, HavantSpring Theatre, Havant

Having just got of the plane from California I played to a full house at the lovely Spring Theatre in Havant. It was a wonderful evening, enhanced by a superb audience. Many thanks to all concerned.

Some live photographs from the evening and an after the show picture with young fan Megan.

Gualala Arts CentreIn February I sang at the beautiful Gualala Arts Centre in Northern California. It was a magical evening and I want to thank Sus, Harmony and Karen, and all the warm-hearted folks of Gualala… where the Redwoods meet the sea.

Julie with the Webb Sisters

Last night at St. James’s, Picadilly. A tribute to Leonard Cohen. I sang some Leonard songs and spoke of our friendship. The audience was wonderful and I was honoured by the attendance of the Webb Sisters.

Thanks to Malcom Stern, Clare Beloved, and to everyone who made it a very special evening.
